Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! If you're looking for a truly unique way to capture the unforgettable moments of your special day, consider the magic of live wedding painting.

As a live wedding painter, I have the privilege of being a part of one of the most significant days in your life. Not only do I craft a beautiful and one-of-a-kind work of art in real-time during your wedding, but I also offer a memorable form of entertainment for your guests.

To provide you with more insights into what to expect on your big day and to answer some frequently asked questions, I've outlined the details below.

How Does Live Wedding Painting Work?

The Process

1

Planning

  1. Check my availability calendar to see if your day is available, then fill out the contact form.

  2. I will be in contact within a week to chat and answer any further questions. After our conversation, I will send a detailed proposal and contract to book. Once you pay the 25% deposit the date is officially yours!

  3. Two weeks prior to the wedding/event, we will do our final painting consultation where we will discuss every aspect of the painting, the timeline of the day, and any other relevant details.

2

The Big Day!

  1. I will show up 2-3 hours before the wedding starts to set up and begin painting in the background.

  2. During the chosen scene (like first kiss or first dance), I will pause painting and take photos/videos of the moment to work from the rest of the night.

  3. I will be there painting and interacting with guests, usually up until the end of the night. I will get the painting to about 90% finished (depending on canvas size and number of details/portraits) and then pull the couple over for the big reveal!

3

Afterwards

  1. I will take the painting back to my studio to put in the necessary refinements.

  2. After the final painting is approved, I will varnish the painting and add hanging hardware. At this time, I am also able to create prints for purchase. For more details on prints, please visit the print section.

  3. Within a few weeks, the painting will be shipped back to the couple. If local drop off is possible, we will meet at an agreed upon location. Shipping cost is covered in the cost of the painting package.

FAQs

I would like more than one copy of my painting, is that possible?

Yes! I have an Canon Inkjet printer capable of printing copies on both canvas and paper. Prints can be the same size as the original artwork or smaller.

What materials do you use for the artwork?

I work with acrylic paint. These paints have the highest and best pigmentation to make sure the painting lasts a lifetime and beyond! All painting are painted on a Gallery Wrapped (1.5 inches deep) canvas, and come with hanging hardware to make sure they are ready to hang directly on your wall! For an additional fee, you can choose to have your artwork framed prior to delivery.

How do you decide what is included in the painting?

The paintings are completely up to my couples. I am here to offer my artistic advice on any element of the painting. Ultimately the couple chooses the moment, who, and what is painted. If you are unsure, I would be more than happy to look at photos of the venue to help decide!

My wedding day had already passed. Can you still create a painting for me?

Yes! If you are already married, or I am already booked for your day,  I can recreate your wedding from a photo! Please visit the commission tab for more details.

What do you need from our venue?

My set up is completely self-contained. I bring everything I need to power my equipment. Space wise I need about a 4x5 spot to paint and access to water! If your ceremony and reception are in different areas, I am able to pack up my setup and move very easily.

Can I work with you to make a payment plan for the painting?

Yes! Every booking requires a 25% deposit of the whole cost of the painting and travel. The rest is due 2 weeks before the wedding. But if you would like to break it down into more payment you sure can!
